Platinum Challenger T1 Telescopic 3.5m Square Cantilever Parasol in Havana Taupe
The Platinum Challenger T1 Telescopic is a premium and robust cantilever parasol that has been engineered for ease of use and provides a high level of UV protection. The standout feature of this parasol is the telescopic pole and gas spring system that raises and lowers the canopy by an additional amount, providing sufficient clearance to operate above furniture. This allows you to quickly and easily open and close your parasol without needing to move furniture or clear the table: ideal for adjusting shade throughout the day, or protection from a sudden downpour.
The T1 parasol range has a single tilt system which enables forward and backward movement of the canopy without any movement of the base, and it can be secured at any angle by simply locking it into place with an easy-to-use lever. The parasol can be moved around 360-degrees in a smooth and easy action, guaranteeing shade wherever you desire.
The parasol mechanism is made from durable stainless steel and encased in a strong, powder-coated aluminium housing, which prevents rust and corrosion. The durability and strength of this parasol is further enhanced by its robust, 86×53.6mm powder-coated aluminium pole, which is finished in anthracite grey.
The tension springs on the ribs keeps the canopy fit tight which has multiple benefits. A taut canopy keeps the parasol stable as it catches less wind, which reduces the risk of the parasol toppling over or flapping around, which can be both annoying and potentially damaging to the parasol itself. It also means the canopy is less susceptible to wear and tear, ensures proper water run-off (no pooling), and looks better: because no one wants a saggy parasol!
The 3.5m square parasol canopy, in havana taupe, is made from 240g/m2 Spuncrylic® which is a strong, but tactile, breathable fabric that provides a high level of UV protection: UPF 50+. Spuncrylic® is a solution dyed polyester (the fibres are dyed before fabrication so the colour is through the entire fabric), and has a very high resistance to fading and colour loss from sunlight (colour fastness) and will retain its colour for at least 350 days. Additionally, this fabric is stain-resistant, and has a durable water resistant (DWR) coating to repel water.
